Licensing
License applications are relied upon to enforce regulations and generate revenue for the community. Tyler’s applications are relied upon to process licenses in two major areas–Animal Licenses and Business Licenses.

Animal Licenses

Whether on a county or community level, most places require licensing of domestic and/or farm animals. Tyler Animal Licenses makes it easy to provide licensing services for our animal friends, whether they be domestic pets or on the farm. This includes the tools to create and maintain licenses, process payments, and perform historical reporting..

The core of the system is code driven. Charge codes define each possible type of license and associated charges. Codes are established to record animal types, breeds, veterinarians, and towns. There are also reason codes defined to explain actions taken on an account—such as inactivation due to a runaway dog.

At start of year the system creates records for all current year accounts that are active whether they are single or 3-year tags. It prints notices to owners specifying that their licenses are due for renewal. And it generates license numbers, the billing records, and payment records for each possible kind of license.

Business Licenses

Business Licenses helps clients create and maintain business / occupational licenses for a variety of different license and permit procedures, making it easier and more cost effective to manage. Citizens find the Web-based license application and payment process convenient and easy to use. Combine the e-mail based routing and workflow features with the integrated GIS spatial analysis and you have one powerful tool.

Tyler clients can print separate documents for Licenses and Application Forms. They can also define an extensive number of business category, business type, and statistic codes. Business master records track single or multiple license charges/fees. Charges can be flat amounts or calculated by varying rates. License fees can be based on sales annual, quarterly, or monthly sales receipts. Late fees/penalties can be assessed as necessary.

To top it off, history and activity reports are available for billings/payments, and other activities such as inspections or permits.
